Internet Explorer

From the View menu, select "Text Size."
From "Text Size," choose from smallest, smaller, medium, larger, or largest. Medium is the installed default.

Firefox

From the View menu, select the "Increase text size" option
Alternative method: From the Tools menu, select "options," select the "fonts and colors" button, and choose the "minimum font size."

Netscape and Mozilla

From the View menu, select the "Text zoom" item.
From "Text zoom," choose from smaller, larger, or a predefined percentage value. 100% is the installed default.

Opera

From the View menu, select the "Zoom" item.
From "Zoom," choose from predefined percentage values or percentage changes. The default is 100%.

Safari

From the Preferences menu, select "Advanced."
From the "Advanced" menu, select the checkbox to "never use fonts smaller than the selected size."
Choose a font size from the pop-up menu.

Layout

If you don't like the layout by using a browser like Firefox you can upload your own stylesheet or turn off the styling on the site altogether. This can be particularly useful for partially sighted people.

Screen Readers

The site has been designed by following standards that are acceptable to screen readers. If you have used the site with a screen reader and have encountered any problems please contact us and let us know.

Tabbing control

Users who are unable to use a mouse can tab through the navigation in chronological order. This can also be useful for all users as the tab button is often a quicker option than using the mouse.

Coding for everyone

The web has a vast array of screen sizes and platforms and the site has been coded to work on as many of them as possible. If you encounter any browser or platform issues please contact us and let us know. For many reasons the site is not coded for IE5 on the Mac.
